TIMELESS BEAUTY

Chanel recently launched its Métiers d’Art 2012 collection, Paris-Bombay; which I first dicovered while
working on a design project this past month, by watching the amazing runway video (watch here).
I could not help but be quite impressed at the combination of classic and elegant; yet modern couture,
surrounded by lush and beautiful details within the traditional Gran Palais in Paris; where the stage was set
to resemble an elaborate feast and that together with perfect music created a cohesive and beautiful scene.

Despite the fact that Karl Lagerfield has never been to India, he was deeply inspired by the country and its
traditions for the creation of this wonderful collection. Something to grasp is the way Chanel showcases
modern-updated pieces without compromising classic elegance. The use of fabrics, textures and perfect
color combination, maintain a tasteful and sophisticated look that is both timeless and modest.

Whether it is haute couture or prêt-à-porte; fashion should be kept tasteful and promote  true
femininity. Please stop by Anna's blog IHOD to read her newest addition: The True Beauty Files
